I liked the outfit at the race The dust was freaking brutal dude I’m still coughing it up!

I ran Vet A,and got my 2nd win this year, yay. I’m gonna post my vid tomorrow

That's great. So how many years have you been racing now?
Travis Walker
This is my 3rd year riding and racing.

Alright, so we already got the racing history out of the way. Who would you credit for getting you into the whole riding/racing thing?
Travis Walker
I bought a bike and a friend and I decided to race one weekend and I fell in love with it and he had a bad time and I haven’t talked to him since lol..so it was kinda just an impulse thing, but my Dad has probably got me where I am now by pushing me

Can't blame ya for breaking up with that dude. I mean, if you can't have a good first date then it's not gonna work out down the road. But as far as your Dad, does he still come to the track with you?

hahaha He hasn’t missed a race and he started out as my pit crew/photographer then decided to buy a bike and start racing

Awesome! We may have to talk at him later on down the road, or maybe a father son race interview at the track, who knows? Let’s talk about the bike. You said that you have been racing for 3 years now. What bike did you start out on? Are you still racing that bike? If not, what are you riding now?
Travis Walker
started on a CRF250X and won the Mideast 4stroke C championship on it then moved to Vet B and tied for 1st on it..raced a cpl of races this year and then bought a KTM250xcf and raced it at Pilot Mountain in VET A and got a win on it the first time I really rode it and that’s what I’m on now.

Good deal. What kind of training do you do? Being an amateur rider doesn't leave one with much time to workout and ride. How do you balance everyday life with racing?
Travis Walker
I make time I work out 5 days a week and try to ride at least 3 days a week sometimes more..I’ve got a practice track at my dad’s and a buddy of mine has a moto track 5 minutes from my house so I’m able to ride whenever

That always helps. What would you say your 2010 goal is and then look into the crystal ball and tell us the 2011 plans?
Travis Walker
My 2010 goal is to finish the year out strong and possibly get another championship or at least be in the running but Ive already missed 3 races so I can only miss or screw up on 1 more but I plan on training hard and doing my best at the rest of the races and Im hoping to break into the top 10 overall this year Ive made it to 14th but its definately gonna be a test to get into the top 10..2011 wow I cant even see past next week really I just hope to be healthy and still riding
